Methods of Diagnosis

Pulse Diagnosis– The strength, rhythm, and quality of the radial pulse is used to determine the relative balance of qi, blood, yin, and yang within the body. Also the different positions of the radial pulse correspond to different organs and five elements. The pulse is important in determining what the primary imbalance is within the body.

Tongue Diagnosis: Visual assessment of the color, coating, and shape of the tongue allows further determination of your diagnostic pattern.

Abdominal Diagnosis: Palpating the abdomen in certain areas which correspond to the internal organs and five elements helps to determine your diagnostic pattern.
