COVID POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

The office has made a series of procedures to provide the most extensive safety protocols possible to protect both you the patient and us the practitioners.

I am fully vaccinated, and I encourage all my non-pregnant patients to get fully vaccinated.

Regardless of vaccination status all patients are required to wear masks during their appointment. Although the CDC has updated mask wearing guidelines for vaccinated individuals this does not apply to medical settings.

SANITATION PROTOCOL:

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic we have been sanitizing all commonly touched surfaces according to CDC guidelines and using CDC approved cleaners for hospitals. We will now sanitize all commonly touched surfaces between each patient in the room and waiting area.

The table and face rest is always cleaned between each patient. The table will be sprayed, wiped, with a cleaner approved by CDC guidelines.

Linens are changed between each patient and are cleaned at a laundry facility that is also following CDC guidelines for laundry cleaning.

Each waiting and treatment room is now equipped with a True Hepa, UV air purifier that cleans the air and kills all mold, bacteria, and viruses in the air. The Chelsea office is also equipped with a true hepa air conditioning system.

NEW OFFICE PROCEDURES:

BEFORE YOUR ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT PRE-SCREENING:

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 OR COVID-19 IgM antibodies. You will need a negative Covid-19 follow up test before returning to the office. Telemedicine appointments are available for COVID-19 symptom treatment. Herbs can be mailed and delivered to patients.

Please let me know if you have tested positive for IgG Covid-19 antibodies. This means you have antibodies and some immunity to the virus.

Patients are pre-screened when making an appointment for:

  • possible COVID-19 symptoms: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell, or gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

We can set a up telemedicine and send herbal medicine. I have successfully treated several patients who have been diagnosed with Covid-19. None of the patients required hospitalization and all of the patients have successfully recovered. I would encourage you to use Chinese medicine for early stage Covid-19 symptoms and mild to moderate COVID-19.

There is also a Covid-19 Chinese herbal medicine prevention protocol that has been shown in two studies in China to help prevent infection in hospital workers. If you are interested in these protocols I can send you herbs without an appointment.

NO WAITING ROOMS

Per the executive order of Governor Cuomo all patients will be required to wear a mask upon entering the office and treatment room.
