Dr. Leddy’s path to becoming one of the New York area’s most trusted acupuncturists began at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado, where she earned her Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) in 2002. Her graduate training included rigorous coursework in Chinese medical diagnosis, shiatsu, tui na, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine, alongside Western medical sciences taught by medical doctors. Even before graduation, she had already treated over 500 patients through the program’s emphasis on clinical experience.
Following her master’s degree, Dr. Leddy completed hospital specialty internships that shaped her broad clinical expertise: oncology at Longmont Hospital in Colorado, geriatrics at Golden West Rehabilitation, and pediatrics at the Southwest Clinic. These foundational experiences were followed by advanced post-graduate training at Tri-State College of Acupuncture, where she mastered trigger point acupuncture — a highly effective technique for releasing deep muscle tension and providing lasting relief from musculoskeletal injuries.
